Our Limitations

As with any system, there are limitations.  One of our limitations fall in the category of the "square peg - round hole".  Our system utilizes circular grinding and polishing discs that spin.  Most glass is mounted into frames with right angles.  Therefore, we are limited in our ability to get into the corners.

We can work very close to the edge but we are limited to not closer than about 1/2 inch from the frame.  When working close to any edge, we always use protective tape to prevent damage to the frame.  But in the end, we are only human.  The closer we get to the frame, the greater the possibility of unintentional contact with our disc.  Our goal is to repair the glass not to damage the frame.
